Blogs that I like: The Fashion Fruit by Veronica Ferraro

Hi to everyone, in the last two weeks I have been working at my professional blog, I managed only today to have some free time for the webfolio.

Today I want to talk you about my favourite Italian Fashion blogger her name is Veronica Ferrarro and her blog is called thefashionfruit.com.

I like her because I think she is the only  one in Italy with a real talent for the fashion blogging. I don’t know her personally but she seems a very kind girl and, at the moment, I haven’t heard bad things about her behaviour as other fashion blogger (for example Chiara Ferragni).

I like her because she is normal. She is a pretty and elegant girl. Ok somebody says that she dresses like a grandmother, and sometime I have to recognise that is true but I think, on the contrary of others, she has a well defined personality and taste.

I like the way she dresses and the way se propose herself to the followers. She is not the classic thin girl (for thin girl I mean anorexic people) with blond hair that shows off everything with a big logo on it.

Everybody can see clearly that she takes really care of her blog and also has a boyfriend who takes good pictures of her outfits.

The most famous fashion blogger in Italy is Chiara Ferragni but I think she doesn’t deserve all the notoriety she has (she seems quite empty inside, egocentric and only an upstart).

Veronica should be the first one in Italy for a lot of reasons, One above all? To me she is the best in Italy because she in not another stereotype of Barbie.

And you…what you think about fashion blogger?

I’ve read some of your articles and were pretty impressed. Because usually I never find any critics on a blog and I kind of like it!

Coming to your point which you mentioned about Chiara. I have to agree that she only embodies expensive labels and seems to be superficial. It is also true, that she seems to be perfect, has this incredible thin body and of course she’s also big.

In contrast to her, there’s the other girl, Veronica, which is a very pretty girl too but not that stereotype “perfect” girl as Chiara.

In my opinion it is not okay to compare Chiara with Veronica because they are completely different people.

You wrote that “I like her because she is normal. She is a pretty and elegant girl. Ok somebody says that she dresses like a grandmother, and sometime I have to recognise that is true but I think…

If you criticize Chiara because of her superficial way of blogging I think this is at least as superficial as her…

I really hope that you don’t take this personal, but when you want to say why she’s not Chiara you have to be more specific in case of her task as blogger, what she’s doing actually and her information about fashion (that’s even more important than how she looks like). When I read your article than I think that a good blogger shouldn’t be thin, pretty and stereotype (no matter if she wears labels…).

P.S: I’m from Germany but I’ve been a lot of times to Milan and I recognized that a lot of people really loves to dress up (I was pretty impressed. It kind of gave me the feeling that on the on hand they’re really rich or on the other hand they’re spending a big amount of money for clothes. And of course it belongs to Italian culture! :) Really love it to be there!

Dear Victoria, sorry for the late answer, and thanks for commenting my blog :). You are right when you say they are both superficial, those are just fashion blogs. But, to me, what makes the difference between Chiara and Veronica is the way of doing things for their blogs.
Maybe it’s just my perception but it seems that Veronica loves more blogging compared to Chiara. She wanna be a fashion journalist and she is working hard to get the degree.
The message that gives me Veronica is that everybody can be pretty if they feel comfortable in what they are wearing. I think this is an important message for everyone.
My opinion is that, clothing (not fashion) has been created for feeling good, not for getting obsessed about seasonal fads.
Sometimes Chiara seems to post just because she has to do it, forced by someone else. This sound a bit sad to me and also she show off to many brands, giving the impression that the only thing you have to care about is wearing the coolest brand of the moment to be socially accepted.
Anyway, most of Italian people spend a lot of money for clothing, It is just in our dna. I am one of those unfortunately for my wallet.
